Sample Session Structure

  • Children arrive with their parent. We can all get used to the space and parent will leave when child feels settled enough.

  • The child is informed of the topic for today. We ask preliminary questions to gauge their baseline understanding. Child can also ask questions or share their experience of the topic.

  • Child’s depth of knowledge will expand with hands-on activities that spark their curious minds.

  • Play, art, music, dance, and body based play will be used as breaks, rapport building, safety establishing throughout the session. We always want to encourage a child’s self-expression.

  • Child will experience a sense of calm and stillness while practicing new grounding activities.

  • Child is reunited with caregiver. We do a brief debrief with caregiver to review today’s session.
